Oranges, grapes, apples, bananas, and pineapples are the top-five fruits consumed in the United States during the first decade of the 2000s (includes fresh and all processed products). Juice remains the number one form in which fruit is consumed in the U.S. On a fresh-weight basis, fruit juice accounts for nearly half of the total per capita fruit consumed annually; fresh use accounts for more than one third; and canned, dried, and frozen fruit each represent less than one tenth.

Think About It!
Noah preached for 120 years. In a time in which people lived more than 900 years, this represented one seventh of their lifetime. By some reports the average life expectancy in the United States is 78 years. One seventh of our lifetime is 10 years. By comparison, Noah would have preached to us for 10 years. For anyone who has heard the gospel for more than 10 years, the Flood would have already come! How many of us would have been included among the eight who were saved?

About 50 years ago, when our children were small, we used to sing as part of our family worship. Our eldest daughter, Linda, often requested “Astowar.” We always responded, “Sorry, we don’t know what song that is.”
She would exclaim, “You know it! We sing it all the time! Astowar!”
One day we sang, “Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war.”
“That’s it!” she cried. Mystery solved!
