Give & Take

Think About It
THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE POT—The roots of a potted plant removed from its pot and planted in the ground will continue to grow in a circular pattern just as if it were still in the pot unless the root ball is violently broken up! “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest” (Matt. 9:37, 38, Amplified).*

My blond, curly-haired 4-year-old grandson, David, had been in his cousin Kelsey’s wedding several weeks before. He loves to wear his outfit to Sabbath school and church—black long pants, lavender shirt, striped tie, and gray vest.

The sermon title for the Sabbath was “Married to God.” The pastor began with the question “What are you wearing today?”

From his place midway in the church David answered loud and clear, “I’m wearing my wedding clothes!”

Herald’s Trumpet
Hi, kids! Herald’s trumpet is once again hidden somewhere in this magazine. If you find it, send a postcard telling us where. Be sure to include your name and address! Then we’ll randomly choose three winning postcards.

In our last contest (July 26, 2012) we had 14 entries! Our three winners were Kenton Adams, from Linden, Tennessee; Conner Castleman, from College Place, Washington; and Katie Hill, from Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Each received a book from Pacific Press. Where was the trumpet? On page 24.

If you can find the trumpet this time, send your postcard to Herald’s Trumpet, Adventist Review, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904-6600. The prize will be . . . a surprise! Look for the three winners’ names in the February 21, 2013, edition of the Adventist Review. Have fun searching and keep trumpeting Jesus’ love—and His second coming!
