Giving light to our world (GLOW) is an outreach initiative in multiple NAD conferences based on the concept of church members carrying Adventist literature with them wherever they go and handing it out—free of charge—at every opportunity. Here are two short stories of lives touched by GLOW:
 
Story 1
Food for the body and for the soul often go together. Karen* worked at the drive-through counter of a fast-food restaurant. One day as she handed a food order through the window to the waiting customers, one of them said, “Thank you! And here’s something for you!” In return the customer gave her a tract titled When Jesus Comes Again. Karen slid it into her pocket and later called the GLOW office number listed on the back of the tract and requested Bible studies.
 
At another fast-food restaurant a pastor of a church other than Adventist found a GLOW tract on the topic of spiritualism lying on his table. He too took it home, read it, and later requested Bible studies.
 
Story 2
A church member in Washington began regularly stocking a local Laundromat with GLOW tracts. She noticed that the tracts disappeared quickly, so thinking that perhaps someone was throwing them away, she kept an eye open for the possible “culprit.” One day she noticed the local postal carrier grab whole stacks of the tracts and put them into his mail pouch, so she asked him what he was doing. He said that he enjoyed reading the tracts so much that he was now handing them out to people as he delivered the mail.
