BATES, Dorothy Gladys Rennewantz Oliver Noyes—b. July 24, 1911, Dayton, Wash.; d. Mar. 6, 2010, Visalia, Calif. She served as an elementary school teacher. She is predeceased by three husbands, Frank Oliver, Clarence Noyes, and Dick Bates; and by one son, Frank L. Oliver. She is survived by son James B. Oliver; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
GRIFFITH, Barbara J.—b. July 17, 1931, San Francisco, Calif.; d. Jan. 14, 2010, San Diego, Calif. She served with her husband in the Pacific, Atlantic, Lake, and Inca unions, and also at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Philippines. She is survived by her sons Randy and Ron; daughters Jan Widmann and Julie Porter; one brother; three sisters;
nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
HEMME, Leeta E.—b. Apr. 24, 1919, Chowchilla, Calif.; d. Apr. 4, 2010, Meadow Vista, Calif. She served as a teacher in California, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines. She is survived by her brother, Earl; and sister, Thelma Wearner.
HILDE, Dorothea E.—b. Feb. 26, 1913, Williston, N.Dak.; d. Dec. 16, 2009, Castle Rock, Colo. She served as a secretary at Loma Linda Foods, GC Transportation in San Francisco, and the Nevada-Utah Conference. She is survived by son, Steve; daughters Fay White, Petrea Hamor, and Beulah Diehl; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
WILLISON, Clark M.—b. Nov. 12, 1912, Hickory Corners, Mich.; d. March 30, 2009, Orange Beach, Ala. He served as manager of the Indiana Academy farm, and as business manager of Canadian Union College in Canada. He was education superintendent and youth director for the Indiana Conference, Illinois Conference, and Northern Union Conference. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anne. He is survived by his wife Ada; son, Robert; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; stepson, Leighton Holley; stepdaughters Jeannine Fuller and Marguerite Ripley; 10 step-grandchildren; and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
