PATHFINDER MEMORIES
As a member of the Knoxville Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tennessee, I worked with the Pathfinder Club for a number of years. One weekend camping trip required that each unit supply and prepare its own food. Since our club had a two-males-per-female ratio, it was a learning experience for all of us!
While visiting different units and checking out the menus, I noticed some creative innovations. Too-thin pancake batter received a generous helping of raisin bran (h’mmm . . . not enough mix . . .). Next, there was macaroni soup (we were supposed to drain that?). But the topper came when campers started their spaghetti in cold water. A young Pathfinder told his parents, “Mom, Dad, our spaghetti just melted!”—Martha Bacon, Dover, Delaware

Delegates and guests to the fifty-ninth General Conference session recently celebrated in Atlanta, Georgia, dress in national costumes while representing “every nation, tribe, people and language” (Rev. 7:9) from the 203 countries in which Seventh-day Adventist work is established. Let’s pray for the 29 countries and areas of the world where the Adventist Church is not established. May the banner of the cross be raised soon in the whole world!
