Uniquely His

“A wonderful realization will be the day you realize that you are unique in all the world. There is nothing that is an accident. You are a special combination for a purpose—and don’t let them tell you otherwise, even if they tell you that purpose is an illusion. (Live an illusion if you have to.) You are that combination so that you can do what is essential for you to do. Don’t ever believe that you have nothing to contribute. The world is an incredible unfulfilled tapestry. And only you can fulfill that tiny space that is yours.”—Leo Buscaglia

“The men who followed [Jesus] were unique in their generation. They turned the world upside down because their hearts had been turned right side up. The world has never been the same.”Billy Graham

“The circumstances of your life have uniquely qualified you to make a contribution. And if you don’t make that contribution, nobody else can make it.”Harold S. Kushner

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’”—C. S. Lewis

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.”Apostle Paul (1 Cor. 12:4-6, NRSV)*

“From [Jesus] the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”—Apostle Paul (Eph. 4:16)

“It takes courage to be who you are. Who are you?”—Todd Plough

“As we grow as unique persons, we learn to respect the uniqueness of others.”—Robert H. Schuller

“One day our descendants will think it incredible that we paid so much attention to things like the amount of melanin in our skin or the shape of our eyes or our gender instead of the unique identities of each of us as complex human beings.”—Franklin Thomas

“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”
Henry David Thoreau

“You are unique, just like everyone else.”Author Unknown

“Unity in diversity is God’s plan. Among the followers of Christ there is to be the blending of diverse elements, one adapted to the other, and each to do its special work for God. Every individual has his place in the filling up of one great plan bearing the stamp of Christ’s image. . . . The Spirit of God, working in and through the diverse elements, will produce harmony of action. . . . There is to be only one master spirit—the Spirit of Him who is infinite in wisdom, and in whom all the diverse elements meet in beautiful, matchless unity.”—Ellen G. White (Our High Calling, p. 169)
